So my eldest recently had her birthday (okay almost a month ago but in geologic time that is VERY recent) and we eventually had a party for her. But I will admit to base motivations: my friend Kristin is a pastry chef and I wanted one of her cakes for my very own. So we had a party.
It was beautiful and delicious-- enjoyed by all, young and old. I wish I were eating some right now.
